The role – what we’re looking for

We are expanding due to our success and we are looking for an Accounts Analyst to work with the Finance team to enhance our knowledge and metrics around customer and supplier contracts, ensuring that all our systems are up to date and that reports are provided to the Finance Manager around current status.

You will be a highly commercial and business minded Accountant with financial acumen that thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. You have the determination, communication skills and attention to detail to partner and lead reporting on all aspects within an excellent and committed team. You will offer a high level of support to the Finance Manager as well as supervising some dedicated finance projects.

We are committed to offering our Finance Team the focus and support to enable them work with our customers and get the best solutions and services models in place for them around all of our services and to do this we need to have a solid understanding around current customer and supplier status.


The role – who we’re looking for

This role will require a strong, confident team player and communicator who is able to gain trust from the team and customers/suppliers alike. Previous Accounts Analyst/Business Analyst experience is a must, preferably within the IT services industry.

Strong organisation skills, a high attention to detail and excellent time and priority management abilities would be advantageous. You will have knowledge of our services and solutions business models. Understanding of service desk SLA’s and customer charging for this type of model would be helpful.

You will be part of a highly customer focused team, interacting and liaising constantly with all teams, sales team and service desk project managers to enable delivery of our connectivity solution to all customers.


Ideal skill-set and experience:

  • 3+ yrs in IT/Telco fields as Accounts Analyst, ideally with full or part-qualified ACCA/AAT/CIMA or other equivalent finance qualification
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to carry out detailed analysis of sales and purchase ledgers to ensure accuracy
  • Liaise directly with customers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Able to work to deadlines without compromising on accuracy
  • Experience with Sage Financials a distinct advantage but not absolutely necessary
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Positive can-do attitude and a team player


Core tasks and responsibilities:

Carry out detailed analysis of the sales and purchase ledgers to ensure accuracy

Work directly with customers and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Chase credit notes owed by suppliers until received.

Carry out other financial analysis projects

Handle customer cease requests

  • Act as the primary contact and liaise directly with the customer in respect of service cease requests
  • Review customer contracts to determine the final bill
  • Update the sage system to ensure it reflects the change in services to be billed from the correct date
  • Liaise with suppliers to cancel any underlying services used to deliver the ceased customer service
  • Liaise with the service desk to ensure monitoring and management is ceased on the correct date
  • Liaise with projects to ensure any equipment and hardware is retrieved
  • Check supplier billing to ensure it is adjusted correctly
  • Check customer billing to ensure it is adjusted correctly.
  • Chase suppliers for credit notes owed.
