IP Transit

Backbone Connect's extensive network and colocation presence enables us to provide 3 options of IP transit (IPTransit) to many data centres throughout the UK:

Tier 1 Full IP Transit (IPTransit)

We work with a number of tier 1 providers including Level3 and NTT among others which enables us to offer genuine tier 1 IP transit via either a 100Mb or 1Gb port, commit levels start at just 2Mb.

Multi-homed Full IP Transit (IPTransit)

Because we work with more than one upstream provider we offer multi-homed IP which takes a number of tier 1 routes to the internet. This offers a degree of resilience because you are not reliant on a single provider’s network.

Partial IP Transit (IPTransit)

If a large part of your traffic is directed to destinations within the UK and Europe Partial IP transit may prove extremely cost effective. Partial IP transit is routed via internet exchanges and peering partnerships rather than via tier 1 providers, which means you get bandwidth at a fraction of the cost. You can run a partial IP feed alongside a Tier 1 or multi-homed IP feed to get the best of both worlds.
