Lunching, learning and listening to our customers

The 30th of November marked our first Lunch and Learn Tech Event at The University of Southampton Science Park. As a leading IT Services Provider on the park we provide tenants with critical business services including telephony, internet connectivity and IT support. The event was designed for tenants to network, discuss current technology trends that are affecting their business and receive free IT advice from expert speakers over lunch.

 

The event opened its doors at 11:00am and it was great to have plenty of both new tenants and a number of existing customers in attendance. Various topical discussions gave the opportunity to the tenants to hear more about current IT challenges that similar companies were facing. Tenants were then engaged in a Q&A wrap-up session to relate all the advice and ideas to their own requirements and challenges.

 

Topics included:

• Business Continuity and what steps can be put in place to protect your business
• Cyber Security and how you can protect your data
• How to create customers out of website visitors
• Demystifying bandwidths

 

In between the talks we also held 1-1 sessions focusing exclusively on tenant’s business requirements. We are always keen to hear from our prospective customers and to give them valuable information and advice to use. The event was non-stop with tenants and the USSP management all involved.

 

We had great feedback on the event, with tenants highlighting just how important the issues of security and IT resilience were to them. Our gift bags also went down well (free bags of gifts usually do!), with our branded on-the-go coffee mugs proving particularly popular. All in all it was a really successful event and we’re looking forward to catching up with more park tenants in the new year.
