Customer Premise Equipment
Backbone Ethernet is presented over Fibre Optic to a termination device within your office, from here it is presented as a traditional RJ45 connection which allows easy integration directly into your firewall/LAN, as a result there is no need for a router which eliminates a potential point of failure. Therefore Backbone Ethernet does not usually require a CPE device, however where requested Backbone Connect can provide a managed Cisco Switch.

Short Contract Term
Backbone Ethernet is offered on 12 month contract term from the date the circuit is installed, this means you don’t need to commit to 36 or 60 month agreements in order to qualify for the best pricing.
