As you would expect our 24hour Network Operations Centre (NOC) is tasked with monitoring the network from node to node 24 hours per day every day of the year. IPv6 Ready

IPv4 IP addressing space has run out!

RIPE (the independent body that administers IP address space) has no more to allocate. Most ISP’s have some IPv4 addressing space in stock so can continue to bring on new customers, but eventually this space will run out. IPv6 (which was developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force) will eventually replace IPv4.

IPv4 allows 32bits for an IP address and can therefore support 4,294,967,296 addresses, IPv6 uses 128-bit addresses so can support 340 undecillion addresses. That’s quite a few. Backbone Connect’s Business Internet Access solutions are fully IPv6 enabled.
